Terms and conditions
These terms set out how we sell to you, what you can expect from us and what we ask of you. They apply to every order placed through gleamira.co.uk, so please read them before you buy.
Who we are
Gleamira, trading as Gleamira, is a business registered in Belgium at Bijltje 10, 2321 Hoogstraten, Belgium. Our company number (ondernemingsnummer) is 1015.418.962 and our VAT number is BE1015.418.962.
You can contact us at any time by email at info@gleamira.co.uk. Our customer service hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. We reply to every message, normally within one working day.
Definitions
- We, us, our means Gleamira.
- You means the person placing an order through the site.
- Consumer means an individual buying for purposes wholly or mainly outside a trade, business or profession.
- Goods means the products listed on the site and shown in your order confirmation.
- Contract means the agreement between you and us for the sale of goods, formed as described in section 05.
Scope of these terms
These terms, together with our privacy policy and cookie policy, form the whole agreement between you and us. They replace anything said or written beforehand.
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stays in force. If we do not insist on a right straight away, that does not mean we have given it up.
We sell to consumers and to small businesses. If you buy as a business, the cancellation rights in section 10 and the guarantee in section 11 do not apply, and our liability is limited as set out in section 15.
Products and descriptions
Every product page states the material, size, weave and intended use. We write those details ourselves and keep them accurate. Photographs and videos are a fair representation, but colours can look slightly different between screens and small variations in stitching or shade between production batches are normal for textiles.
Our products are cleaning textiles for domestic and vehicle use. They are not medical, protective or safety equipment, and they are not intended for industrial or commercial processes.
Placing an order
Adding items to your basket and completing checkout is an offer to buy. The contract is formed only when we send you an order confirmation by email. Until then, no contract exists.
We may refuse or cancel an order if the item is out of stock, if the price or description contained an obvious error, if we suspect fraud, or if we cannot deliver to your address. If we cancel, we refund any amount you have paid in full.
Please check your confirmation email carefully. If anything is wrong, email us within two hours and we will correct it if the order has not yet been dispatched.
Prices, currency and VAT
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Prices displayed in another currency are an indicative conversion for your convenience only. The amount charged is the sterling total, and your bank or card issuer may apply its own exchange rate and fees.
Prices exclude delivery unless stated. Delivery costs are shown before you confirm and pay. We may change prices at any time, but changes never affect an order we have already confirmed.
For deliveries outside the UK, any import duty or local tax is your responsibility and is charged by the carrier or customs authority, not by us.
Bundle and volume discounts
Some products offer a lower price per item when you buy two or more. The discount is applied automatically in the basket and is shown on the product page before you add to basket. Discounts apply per product line, not across different products, and cannot be combined with a promotional code unless we say so.
If you return part of a discounted bundle, we recalculate the remaining items at the price band that actually applies to the quantity you keep, and refund the difference.
Payment
Payments are processed securely by Shopify and its payment partners. We never see or store your full card details. Payment is taken at checkout, before dispatch.
Accepted methods are shown at checkout and typically include Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal, Apple Pay and Klarna. If a payment fails or is reversed after dispatch, we may suspend delivery or ask you to pay by another method.
Delivery
Orders are shipped within 24-48 hours of being placed. Orders placed at a weekend or on a public holiday are shipped on the next working day.
- UK delivery is free on orders over £30; below that a flat rate is shown at checkout.
- Delivery typically takes 5 to 9 working days after an order ships.
- European orders typically arrive within three to seven working days after dispatch.
Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees, and depend on the carrier. If an order has not arrived ten working days after dispatch, email us and we will chase it or send a replacement.
It is your responsibility to give a complete and correct delivery address. If a parcel is returned to us because the address was wrong or nobody collected it, we refund the goods but not the original delivery cost. Risk passes to you on delivery; ownership passes once we have received payment in full.
Right to cancel
If you are a consumer you may cancel your order for any reason within fourteen days of the day you, or someone you name, receives the goods. You do not need to give a reason.
To cancel, email info@gleamira.co.uk with your order number and a clear statement that you wish to cancel. We will confirm and give you the return address. You then have a further fourteen days to send the goods back.
Return postage for a change of mind is at your cost unless the goods are faulty or not as described. Please keep proof of posting. You may handle the goods as you would in a shop; if their value is reduced by handling beyond that, we may deduct a reasonable amount from your refund.
100-day guarantee
On top of your statutory cancellation rights, we offer consumers a 100-day money-back guarantee. If the products genuinely do not work for you within 100 days of delivery, email us and we will refund the purchase price, even if the cloths have been used and washed.
The guarantee covers one order per household and does not cover damage caused by misuse, bleach, fabric softener, tumble drying above the stated temperature, or use outside the instructions on the product page. We may ask a short question or two about how you used the product, and in some cases ask you to return it at our cost.
Refunds
We refund to the original payment method. Refunds are issued within fourteen days of us receiving the goods back or, if earlier, of you giving us proof of return. For a cancellation under section 10 we also refund the standard outbound delivery cost; if you chose a faster delivery option, we refund the standard rate only.
Depending on your bank, the money can take a further three to five working days to appear on your statement.
Faulty or damaged goods
Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected by these terms. Goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality.
If something arrives damaged, incomplete or faulty, email us within a reasonable time with your order number and a photograph. We will repair, replace or refund, and we cover the return postage. Please do not throw damaged items away until we have agreed what happens next.
Correct use and care
Each product page lists what the item is best for, what to avoid and how to wash it. Following those instructions is what makes the fibres last for hundreds of washes.
- Wash car products separately from household cloths so grit does not transfer.
- Never use fabric softener; it coats the fibres and stops them absorbing.
- Do not bleach, iron or dry clean, and keep away from open flame.
- Rinse grit out of a wash mitt before it touches paintwork.
We are not responsible for damage to vehicles, surfaces or property caused by use that ignores those instructions, or by a product contaminated with grit, dirt or chemicals.
Our liability
We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Subject to that, our total liability in connection with any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of opportunity, and we are only liable for loss that was a foreseeable result of us breaking the contract.
Events outside our control
We are not liable for delay or failure caused by something outside our reasonable control, such as extreme weather, strike action, carrier failure, power or network outage, or government restriction. If such an event occurs we will contact you as soon as we can, and you may cancel and receive a full refund for anything not yet dispatched.
Accounts and site use
If you create an account, keep your password confidential and tell us promptly if you think someone else has used it. You agree not to misuse the site: no attempts to gain unauthorised access, no scraping, no introducing malicious code and no use that disrupts the service for others.
We may suspend or withdraw the site temporarily for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. The site is provided for information and ordering; we do not guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors.
Intellectual property
All content on this site, including text, photography, video, the Gleamira name and the logo, belongs to us or is used with permission. You may view, download and print pages for your own use, but you may not copy, republish or use our content commercially without our written permission.
Reviews and user content
If you send us a review, photograph or video, you keep ownership of it and grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it on our site and channels. Please only submit content you created and that does not identify other people without their agreement.
We publish reviews from verified buyers and do not edit them to change their meaning. We may decline or remove content that is unlawful, offensive, misleading or unrelated to the product.
Complaints and disputes
If something has gone wrong, email info@gleamira.co.uk with your order number. We acknowledge complaints within two working days and aim to resolve them within ten.
If we cannot resolve it together, consumers in the EU and the UK may use an approved alternative dispute resolution or online dispute resolution scheme. Using such a scheme does not affect your right to go to court.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes in our products, our processes or the law. The version published on the site when you place your order is the version that applies to that order. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Belgian law. Nothing here removes the protection you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live.
Disputes may be brought before the courts of Antwerp, Belgium. If you are a consumer, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live.
Still have a question?
We would rather explain something twice than have you guess. Email us and a real person answers, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
