A double-layered dish cloth knitted from fine silver-coloured steel wire over a soft absorbent core. The wire face scrubs away burnt-on food, grease and stubborn residue from pans, hobs, oven trays and sinks, while the inner layer holds enough water and washing-up liquid to actually clean rather than just scrape. Unlike steel wool it does not shed sharp fibres or rust in the sink, and unlike a sponge it rinses out completely and dries quickly, so it never turns smelly. Choose a pack of 4, 10 or 14.
Best for: Stainless steel pans and sinks, cast iron, ceramic hobs, oven racks, baking trays, grill grates and stubborn tea or coffee stains.
Not for: Not for non-stick coatings, enamel, glass hobs with printed markings, polished chrome or anything you would not use a scourer on. Test a hidden spot first if unsure.
Shifted a burnt pan in minutes
“I was ready to bin a frying pan after a Sunday roast gone wrong. This lifted the burnt layer with barely any effort and the pan looks new. It feels a bit rough in the hand at first, but you get used to it.”

Better than steel wool
“Same scrubbing power but it doesn't fall apart or leave rusty bits in the sink. Rinses completely clean and dries in no time.”

Brilliant on the hob
“Took the baked-on splashes off my ceramic hob without a single scratch. I've already ordered the bigger pack for the oven racks.”
